A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC & FAITH
Since 1913, this solid stone structure, based on English Gothic design, has been a focal point for faith, community spirit, and music. Since early in its history, Third Avenue United Church was an auditorium not only for community gatherings, but also for the arts. As a venue for music, the Church has been lauded for its acoustics. Fans of gospel, symphonic, choral, folk, and world music have relaxed in an atmosphere of understated grandeur.
True to its roots, Third Avenue United Church has with grace and commitment, continued to deliver support and programs to its congregation and to the downtown community. As a home to an active congregation, the Church supports and sponsors the work of a number of local organizations such as the Saskatoon Food Bank, Egadz, and the Crisis Nursery.
To capitalize on its favoured position as a leading venue for music, the arts, and to continue to strengthen and grow its commitment to supporting the faith needs of the community, Third Avenue is building
"A Sanctuary on Third".
